Steelers fans plead for polarizing Aaron Rodgers to sign with NY Giants
Pigs have begun to fly. The Pittsburgh Steelers have been one of the teams most tied to Aaron Rodgers over this free agency period—much to the chagrin of the Black and Gold faithful.
Rodgers is arguably one of the most polarizing human beings in the NFL today—and it isn't just because of his declining playing ability. The former Packers QB has garnered the wrong kind of attention for always making himself the center of attention—which is quite literally the last thing the Pittsburgh Steelers need in the 2025 season.
Ironically, the Pittsburgh Steelers lost Justin Fields to the New York Jets, which created a perfect storm in which the only shelter may very well be Rodgers or the man responsible for their five-game losing streak in 2024, Russell Wilson.
Mason Rudolph signed a two-year, $8 million contract with the Steelers on Thursday, riling up the Steel City faithful even more—as fans called for Rodgers to stay far away from Pittsburgh.
Here are some of the most passionate and anti-Rodgers reactions on social media:
I speak for all of Steelers nation when I say, we do NOT want Aaron Rodgers on the team

F signing Aaron Rodgers. Save that money and surround Mason Rudolph with as much talent as you can!

There I said it, if it comes between him and Russell Wilson, bring Russell Wilson back
We've had enough headlines for doing anything but winning football games that matter, we don't need anymore

@steelers If Mike Tomlin is blind enough or pushed into signing Aaron Rodgers, he should be ready to have is first losing season.
— MacFab Chibuzor (@MacFab) March 13, 2025
I think a lot of Steelers fans would agree we really don't want Aaron Rodgers cause he's pretty washed and don't really like him as a person but if it were to work we wouldn't mind.

If the Steelers sign

Aaron Rodgers, I will no longer be a Steelers fan.
As a #Steelers fan, I could get behind Mason Rudolph a lot better than I could Aaron Rodgers.
